I tend towards mad science, electronics, "Brazil", "Frankenstein", 30's serials and the conquest of the unknown (or that which should be unknown).

Hello! I'm Jacob Cook (a persona name -- just an effort to make it more Victorian and conceal my last name a little).

At 15 years old, I'm new to the whole Steampunk "scene," but I'm interested in Neo-Victorian/SP (whatever term you prefer) fashion and music -- it comes when being big on folk music. I must say, little looks better than a waistcoat and cravat... it's a shame I have neither.

As far as inventions go, I'd like to be a tinkerer but have yet to take the initiative to take things apart, mod them, etc. But in due time, I may have some creations. In the mean time, I'll be observing and commenting the creations of others.

Well, yeah, I think that covers it. Hopefully this forum will prosper to a good size, and, if not, a devoted member base will certainly suffice.

Well, I decided I would follow when Mr. Shoggotho told me of his creation on this place. I go by the same moniker on Brass Goggles. I'm 15 from Wisconsin, wish real name had a more Archaic Flair to it like Thaddeus, but its Tyler. Ive been into the steampunk aesthetic my whole life just didn't know it had its own group of people. I am an experimental writing, so far I haven't been able to get past a few chapters in because I don't plan things very well, I'm working on it. I'm developing the skills through classes at school and hopefully when I have some disposable cash I will be making the Moniker true as well as armaments and the like. I have a fairly decent hand at 3D art, my skills at 2D are, Lacking. As far as my Steampunk attitude goes, I am rebelling against the system by acting exactly how it doesn't expect me to.
