Juggernauts of the Skies - OOC

The year is 1885. After the historical Edison-Moreau experiment and the subsequent Cavor expedition, the world is in uproar. New frontiers in the skies! New technologies on Earth! The possibilities are enormous and seemingly endless. Mars with its great steppes and noble natives, Venus with its acidic swamps and dinosaurs, even the barren moon with the mysterious Selenites, everything is in reach of mankind, thanks to the professors Edison, Moreau and Cavor.

I'm planning to use the GURPS rule set. Expect the character sheet functions soon.

So, people, are you in for one heck of a ride?

not the best sytem in the world, but flexible

Well, it's the best universal system out there, and still flexible enough to handle a wizard throwing fireballs at battle tanks. I like it very much. If you have issues with it, maybe a good alternative for our purpose, feel free to provide it.

EDIT: I have personal issues with the d20 system.

hmmm. that seems pretty cool, a bit complex for one who has never played a rpg but i think i can handle it.

In the course of the evening, I'll set up the character sheet function and configure it for GURPS characters. There's plenty of software out there to ease the number-crunching.

OK, I decided against forum number-crunching. You get a name and occupation field, a background story and a health value. The system is highly experimental, so please report any errors or suggestions what to add or remove.

Im interested although, I will have no idea what is going on or what to do but Ill give it a shot.

OK, everyone who stated interest has a character sheet in the profile now. The game starts soon, but I still wait for more than four people.

Let's bring it back to life! Let it return to it's former glory.

Let's keep it on hold until the players come back. It has the potential to become something great, but people jumped ship mid-conversation.

Frankly, I can't see it. People jumping ship mid-scene is not what I expect of a good game. Maybe some other time.

I would say. Lets start another Game... set on another place... but maybe the same time.. with other players, shouldn't we?

Being new to this, a new game is sounding great!

As another new player, I'd like to have a new game, as well.
